APT timer control problem

    Hi,
We have 2 basic APT timer clocks. 1 fitted for the immersion and 1 for the oil central heating. Both fitted within the last 2 years. Both have lost some of the push teeth due to heavy handling and things knocked against them.
Now there is a bigger problem with the 1 on the immersion, the clock is turning so there doesn't seem to be an issue there but the little light on the unit isn't coming on when I slide to on position or on timer function. Water doesn't seem to be heating either but not 100% sure of that yet as the oil heating was on so water is hot from that.

I've taken it off the wall and would be fairly confident to replace it myself with a same model but I'm really not happy with the unit and if paying for a replacement I'd rather get a digital model

Any recommendations? Am I right in thinking any of the digital models would be bigger than the APT which seems to be about the size of a regular socket. I'm guessing I'd have to do some plaster breaking in order to fit the housing of a digital model and this is where I wouldn't be very confident! also would the wiring of a digital model be very different?! or difficult to fit?
I don't really want to go to the expensive of getting an electrician to fit but I don't want to start something that I wouldn't be able to do!

Also anyone any ideas what could be wrong with the APT timer? does it sound completely dead?

    Thanks in advance

The APT is simply fecked there is a new version of them and they don't seem to have the same problem of the segments breaking they are a different setup

Try your local electrical wholesaler for something like this:

No delivery charges and immediate supply, and still cheaper!
