cd stuck in stereo

HI, my problem is a bit worse than the thread title states... yesterday I was leaning across from the passenger side and managed to break the cd that was half sticking out of the stereo. Half of the cd stayed in the stereo, and stupidly, I turned on the ignition thinking I could eject the broken half, instead it sucked it in. Now it wont eject it. Volvo v40
    Any ideas appreciated

If it's a single disc player and the disc stays level with the slot when inside you could employ the method I used with the PS3 when the kids were younger; a bit of double sides sticky tape wrapped around a knife to fish it out.

My record on the PS3 was 4 discs in the one slot.
