xbmc, live tv and freezing

    Hi,

I built this HTPC in 2011:
    4GB-Kit DDR3 Crucial Value PC1333 CL9
    ASRock E350M1/USB3, integrierte AMD E-350, Mini-ITX
    Chieftec BT-02B, 180W SFX, Mini-ITX
    LG BH10LS30 Blu-Ray Brenner
OCZ Vertex Plus 60GB SSD SATA 6,4cm (2,5")
    Logitech K400 Wireless Touch Keyboard
    HP MCE IR Wireless Receiver
Logitech Harmony 885 Advanced Universal Remote Control
NAS with movies and music etc connected via cat5
    Windows 7

Then in September 2012 I installed BGT3600 tv card. I have been using nextpvr to view live tv.

For ease of use I want to view live tv through xbmc. This is where I have the issue.

I have the latest version of xbmc and all the channels appear, tv guide populates but when I click into a channel almost every time xbmc freezes. If it doesn't freeze then, it will surely freeze when I try to change channel.

    Any ideas?

Not sure the power supply is good enough. Tuner cards need a lot of power as they supply 13-18v to the LNB. What size do blackgold recommend

The PSU is 180w, from what I can see the average HTPC uses about 90w and the tv card uses 19.5w. So I think I should be ok.

I have been using nextpvr to view live tv without any problems, if the psu was the issue would I have the same freezing issue when running nextpvr?
