Cork UCC Track offical opening by Sonia O'Sullivan

I saw on Twitter that the relaid Mardyke track is going to be called 'The Sonia O'Sullivan Athletics Track' and will be officially opened by the woman herself on Sat April 13th at 1pm as part of the IUAA Track and Field Championships 2013.

Delighted for her. This accolade could have been given to a few Cork Athletes that have performed so well on the world stage over the years but delighted for Sonia.

Pity they didn't just go for "The O'Sullivan Arena" - that way they'd have covered Marcus too!
