    I did this today,

Took me longer than expected, the location of the TV module is a bit awkward to say the least.

If you have never done it before, trust me you do not want to change the battery on a BMW E53.

The digital TV tuner is aftermarket.

Fitting the antennas in a hidden spot.

A bit of trim removal for stealth look.

A bit of testing before everything back together.

    Couple of Q's

    - Whats the reception like, is it 'snowy' like old car TV's or crystal clear now with digital?
    - Could one be fitted to an F10 that has Pro Nav also installed (perhaps they use the same screen)

Good job and other stuff you've posted

I had to replace the radio module in my X5 before, messy job alright!
Take note E46 and E39 owners as the uses the same system.
