08 Ford Mondeo headlight problem

    Hi all,

I drive a 2008 Ford Mondeo Titanium X diesel automatic. The headlight on the driver side turns off when I turn the steering wheel, but come back on when I straighten it. Now I notice it has started to flicker on and off as I drive along. Only on the driver side, passenger side is fine.

Been to Ford dealer twice, they couldn't find out what's wrong. Last time they told me to "book the car in longer so they can check again". I am advised by friends to try other mechanics instead of going back to the dealer.

What is likely to be the cause of this? And how much would it cost to fix? I don't know anything about car. I am very worried I will be messed around and ripped off badly. Money is tight.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

When it's stationary with the gear in Park and handbrake on, it stays lit. It starts as soon as I drive off.

The flickering doesn't start until I'm a min or 2 at least into driving. Sometimes longer, sometimes less.

It turns off both ways. Takes a slightly bigger turn to right in order for the light to go off.

Thanks in advance for your help!

There's directional lighting on that car so it seems like it's something to do with that. Find a decent auto electrician.

Thanks. The flickering is especially getting on my nerve now.

Will go searching for the electrician!
