Watched part one last night, in short it was awful. I belive its an adaptation of a book, lets hope the book is a little better because this was all over the place. The script is poor, the editing awful, story disjointed , it draws far too much on the da vinci code / holy grail story thats been done to death at this stage. Did i mention the pacing is snail like, theres no drama, god where do i stop. My only reason for tuning in was to see Jessica brown Findlay aka Lady sybil from Downton abbey, she is without doubt a stunning looking woman but she is a very very average actress. In this adaptation she is essentially the same character as in downton only with longer hair, she lacks a conviction and intensity on screen which im afraid her looks dont make up for. I hope she gets the training she needs and doesnt go down the Andie Mc Dowell route, a woman whose beauty always outshone her acting ability.

Alas i wont be watching part two of Labrynth.

I saw it a while ago and wasn't impressed, it was a bit of a mess and each part seemed to go on forever:(. The only slightly interesting thing about it was that the authoress (Kate Mosse) played the bit part of a tour guide. The book itself is supposed to be good, but I've not read it, so wouldn't know.

It's the first part of a trilogy. I have read each of them and felt each book was even better than what went before. I taped the programme as I loved the books so much but I gave up about half way through. One of the most awful adaptations I've ever seen. Bring on tomorrow night's Game of Thrones. Now that's good TV.

Glad im not alone in thinking it was woeful. Cant help but think if the BEEB had done it instead, perhaps it may have been watchable.
