Bacteria-catching nasal gel/strips for airplane travel

Mods please feel free to move this if I have it in the wrong place.

I read about these things ages ago and I can't remember what they are called or what exactly they are.

They are either gel strips or gel blobs or sticker things that you stick on front of your nose before you board an airplane and then they are supposed to catch any bacteria that is circulating through the air while you are airborne! Seems like a great invention.

Anyone know what they are called and where I can get them?

    Thanks

Won't you have to fill your nose with the stuff to get it to work ?? Waving an antiseptic / antibiotic in front of or next to the bug you want to kill/catch wouldn't do much good... Would it ?
If the vapours coming off it were that noxious wouldn't kill you...

Washing your hands regularly and keeping your hands away from your mouth is far far more effective.

And you don't look like a twat.

What about the bugs that you'll inhale through your mouth?

    You need one of these....

    Seems like a great invention.

Does it? Sounds daft. What about when you handle the countless other things that have germs on them? Does it come in a whole body wrap?

I'm enquiring about them on behalf of someone who has a serious autoimmune disease so every little extra helps! I think they are the screens that someone posted the link to from Amazon. Many thanks.

Person in question has to wear a mask also but every little extra helps.

glad you found a potential suggestion from someone on the forum. It's unfortunate the reason for which you had to seek this recommendation... and hope you get the strips you're looking for.

Though must admit that without background info you just provided it may have come across to some of us as being overly cautious, to the point of paranoia. Sorry for having been a bit pessimistic on that front...
