I think every car nut in the country has a few model cars, what are the collections like?

Anything interesting? Pretty sure everyone of my models has a story.

I am a Jag nut. Have approx 30 models of all type of Jags from classic to modern. The two most precious are models of my own cars with the same exterior and interior colour (sad I know).

Also have radio controlled model XKR, the dog loves racing it up and down the hall:D

I used to when I was younger. Somewhere in the house are burago models of an Alfa 75, Lancia Delta S4, Lamborghini Countach, Harley Davidson, Porsche 944, Peugeot 405 raid... I have countless little models too.

As I got older, I ended up buying the real cars instead of the models....

Tip for the day: stick to the model cars :(

We have a Gt6 and a TR4a and have models of both in the same colours. The model is a Tr4 though.

Have a load of Bburago models for ages that were subsequently wrecked to varying degrees when my nephew came along. Have a good few models of my own car despite there only being one manufacturer that made a proper model of it, and I have a nice AutoArt model that is kept out of everyone's reach! :)

Have about 40 1/18 rally models as well as about 50+ 1/43 models and countless 1/24 plastic kits. Majority of the 1/43 cars are of irish drivers/events.

In the process of making some one off rally cars in 1/18 from Irish drivers but it gets expensive pretty quickly.

I have a couple of hundred 1:18 scale models mostly in boxes in the garage. The rest are on shelves in the garage and some are in a display case in the house.

I also collect the 1:43 scale die casts from the Disney cars/cars 2 movies:o

Another friend has about 300 1:24 cars, used to have a standing order with his closest shop for any new / rare models.

I have a small number, nothing special really. But one of them is a Ferrari 288 GTO I got bought in France when I was below a year and a half. It's in pieces after I attacked it with a tack hammer shortly after but I love it

Below in France a year and a half back or when you were below one and a half years old!?! I'm guessing the latter seeing as you attacked it with a hammer!

Are we talking the real cars or the models? If real its an original Irish S14a 200sx...or most of one at least.

I've been collecting model cars since I was 14, any pocket money/present of money was saved for a model car! Then when I got my 1st job at 18 I've not looked back. I currently have approx 520 models with around 400 at 1:18 scale. 99.9% are still in their boxes and I've the spare room taken over with them!

Fupp boxes, I used to play with mine :pac:
