There are some - they are called "selective" weedkillers. I've never tried them - they claim to kill weeeds and not grass. The idea is that they feed the broad leaved weeds and make them grow faster - and therefore absorb the weedkiller more quickly than the narrow leaves of the grass. Flowers would suffer the same fate as the weeds I'm afraid.
