I mean I want to listen to something that I am sending from my house to the internet to my phone via the mobile network, using Tunein Radio App as you can paste a url there in it.

In simple terms I want to start a personal internet
    radio
    station.

    Am I making any sense?:confused::confused::confused:

play music in winamp with edcast or shoutcast plugin..
sign up with a streaming company.. theres plenty in ireland, just googled and found a decent once called dreamstream.ie (not advertsing, if mods want to remove please do)

once your signed up you will have login details and an ip address to enter into the plugin in winamp.

once connected it will stream whatever you play to your online streaming company.

login to tunein and enter your Stream IP and website if you have one.

can take up to 24 hours to list :)

I have an internet radio station, I use Relia Stream for my hosting.

    reliastream.com

You pay per how many simultaneous listeners you want, and what quality of stream you want. I would recommend going for at least 64 kbp/s for talk and 128 kbp/s for music.

    Rule of thumb:
    32 kbp/s - Telephone Line
    64 kbp/s - FM quality
    128 kbp/s - CD quality

You can ask for a free demo to test what the quality sounds like for you.

They will ask you to choose either WHM Sonic or Centova Cast, I use the later and I would recommend it.

They will email you with lots of links, codes and passwords. PM me when you've reached this step and I can help you.

    Hope this helps :)

    Regards,

    Gavin

    Thats very helpful.

I wonder did you get my last PM?

Would you be able to give a broad outline on what you need ie hardware.

Can it be turned on remotely?

Now I think we're making progress.I'll be opting for the 32kbps and would take lower if possible as it speech based.
