    Guys,

Need someone with a techie head here who can speak plain english please icon_smile.gif

My daughter bought herself an iPod Touch and she has her own apple ID, if she needs to buy anything I have the password and it will be with an iTunes voucher!!

Anyway, I have a load of music on my iPhone 5 that I want her to have, so.....

1 - I enabled home sharing on the iTunes program on my computer
2 - Also went into the iTunes program on the computer, into Edit, Preferences and selected the sharing tab to allow music to be shared
3 - on the iPhone 5 i went into Settings, Music and Home Sharing and input my own details with my own apple ID and password
4 - did the same as above on the iPod Touch (with my own apple ID and password not hers)
5 - downloaded the remote app and it can see my library (when the iTunes program is active)
6 - if i go into music on the iPod Touch it can also see my library

My iTunes program is open by the way - if its not open it cant see anything.

    But it can't connect icon_sad.gif

Where am I going wrong please?

No need for home sharing really. Is the music on your iphone in iTunes as well? If it is just connect the iPod and click on the iPod in iTunes, go to the music tab and make sure the sync music box is checked and then just sync

But, my computer is my work computer, and there are two different apple id's involved.....so how is it going to synch then?

(now, it is possible I might be asking a silly question - I don't know these things!) :-)

Doesn't matter what computer you use once you only sync with that one, if you sync with another it will oberwrite and media that was synced previously. The apple id's don't matter either

Ok, that seems to have sorted it so thanks a million.... :-)
