I noticed that Mrs Brown's boys is not being transmitted on RTE1 via NIMM while is on RTE1 via Saorivew
Is this happening at any other time with any other programmes?

Listing on rte.ie shows Prime Time at 21.30 on RTE1. Wonder did they pull it for some reason & only the Saorview epg has been updated . . .

A special on the Meath East result

    From Twitter

    RTÉ Prime Time ‏@RTE_PrimeTime

At 21:35 - a by-election special. We hear from the major parties, and the unknown who pushed Labour into fifth place. #rtept #mhe13

RTE EPG have not update on Saorview as it is shown Mrs Brown's Boys when Prime Time is on.
Is this info shown correctly for Saorview certified STB as my STB/PVR is UK Freeview HD T2 certified?

As this is Holy Thursday my guess is that Mrs. Brown's Boys was originally scheduled for tonight but was replaced for a Primetime Meath East by-election special.

And so we come back to a topic that was discussed in another thread, how quickly is the epg updated on Saorview.

This reply from RTÉ probably answers the question - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=83430899&postcount=248
Thank you for taking the time to contact RTÉ. It's most regrettable that you're missing some of the programme you have set to record. Unfortunately, this occurs due to the start time of programmes being subject to change. Unlike channels in the cable world, both RTÉ One and Two are dynamic reactive TV channels whose schedules fluctuate and change. This occurs on all television channels to some extent. However it's less of a problem for other broadcasters for two reasons:

•Non-reactive cable broadcasters with strip schedules (i.e. no live programmes) rarely make changes to the billed times because they are not subject to the fluctuation that occurs with live programmes.

•BBC and other major UK broadcasters use sophisticated technology to link their output system (e.g. Probel) to SKY where any changes in transmission will “trigger” a response in the Electronic Programme Guide and obviously this keeps all SKY Plus recordings in synch.

RTÉ has explored the possibility of upgrading to the Probel technology mentioned above. However, because of the significant costs involved we are unable to proceed due to financial constraints at this time.

RTÉ do not have the technology in place to change the Saorview epg at short notice unlike the BBC/ITV etc. It also appears that Arqiva, who operate the NImux, also have that system or similar in place to quickly update the NImux channels as schedules change as we can see from Souriau's RTE1 LCN 52.JPG above where we see Primetime included in the Freeview epg.

Another example of NI getting a better RTE service than we do. It's an absolute joke.
