Ok my friends is trying to pick somewhere for their honeymoon. They want nice weather beaches with nice hotels within a reasonable budget. I have suggested Thailand but they have been before and dont want to go back to where they have been. They have done europe, thailand, caribbean, middle east. Any ideas or experiences? maybe we could get a list going on where other people have gone for that special occasion.
Me= thailand ( koh samui, bangkok) brilliant

Time of year might help with suggesting sunny locations.

Also what you define as a reasonable budget might be very different to what I would.

Also when you state they've "done" Europe, listing the countries would help, I would presume they haven't done everywhere.

maldives - excellent and wwe went the on honeymoon 7 years ago (is it that long ago!!!!)

Time of year and budget would be a help in suggesting places as some places are not as appealing at certain times of the year!

They are getting married next june so id say june july august. Budget is between 4000k to 5k. They have done most countries in europe and i think they didnt want to go back to the same country. I didnt mean they done every part of europe.

    Maybe somewhere like Fiji?

Or safari in Africa Kenya/Tanzania and finishing off at the beach in Zanzibar for something different?

My sister went to Hawaii for her honeymoon and loved it, so that's another idea.

Vietnam vietnam vietnam, were here now 3rd time it's 35degrees very cheap staying in a brand new hotel for $15 a night and plenty to do...... Just as good if not better than Thailand.

friends went to Maldives and adored it. If they've been to Thailand they may not be interested in other SE Asian countries methinks, though I know they're quite different.

You can visit St kitts and nevis for Honemoon.St. Kitts & Nevis is an experience like no other. Situated in the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean Sea, with panoramic views of the neighboring islands of St. Barths, St. Martin, St. Eustatius and Saba, the twin-island Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis epitomizes the very best of unspoiled Caribbean destinations. An island of stunning natural beauty, St. Kitts’ emergence as a premier Caribbean destination has been carefully managed to ensure the maintenance of its abundant natural assets, cultural heritage and Caribbean charm.

St. Kitts is the larger of the two islands in the Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis. Its highest point is Mount Liamuiga at 1,156 m (3,742 ft) and its capital is the charming Victorian town of Basseterre.

St. Kitts has a wonderful tropical climate with cooling trade winds, which are comfortable and enjoyable throughout the year. The average temperature is around 25-30 degrees Celsius, with low humidity and an average annual rainfall of 140 cm (55 inches), which keeps the vegetation lush and green.

July and August are the warmest months of the year. From November through to April it is warm in the day and somewhat cooler in the evening. There are an average of 12 hours of sunshine per day all year around.

You can try your honemoon here and you can enjoy in your Budget.Visit http://www.kittitianhill.com/about-st-kitts-nevis/

+ 1 on Vietnam. Amazing country. Followed the same route the Top Gear crew did. A country with a troubled past with wonderful people. Far less tourists than its neighboring Thailand

Another option which I would highly recommend is Japan. A few nights in Tokyo and take the bullet train down to Kyoto & Hiroshima. An amazing experience. If a budget is an issue this could be a problem. Japan is a amazing experience however it is a very expensive place. Was paying €200 per room per night for a average/business class hotel.

to be fair you need to say what time of year and what budget they have and what they want from a honeymoon....different strokes for different folks.

some couples want to relax and do nothing, others seek adventure, some want luxury and to be spoiled others want sight seeing and exploring.

I know some people who are going to the middle of nowhere (between Hawaii and New Zealand) for a few weeks, its expensive €8-10K excluding food, tours, excursions and watersports and spending money....they've done the Hawaii, Maui, Vegas, San Fran, New York experience as well as most of Europe and some of Asia ...and one of them has been to Oz ...neither had been to the back ar$e of nowhere and both are happy to go !!

back ar$e of nowhere are places like moorea, rarotonga, akitutaki, palau ...islands which most people have to google to find out where they are.

    Regarding the above,

Why not a honeymoon? Not everyone is interested in lying on a beach for two weeks.

Personally I'm of on honeymoon in Sept.

    - San Fran
    - Napa valley
    - Yosemite
    - Las Vegas

    Can't wait something different everyday

surething & I hope you enjoy it!

I too am off on honeymoon in July so from personal experience I would'nt choose the Vegas trip as a honeymoon destination - am not into lying around beaches either so we are interested in a chilling holiday, not so much going on & more importantly no so many tourists.

Stayed in the luxor, awesome hotel on the strip but be aware! it gets VERY full of tourists & VERY noisey with the casinos running 24/7...

    we're heading to Malta. :)

Just looked at that there and it seems serious!!

My better half enjoys the relaxing side, whereas I would like to do some water sports, tours etc. How did you find it for this?
