I'm in Ranelagh and kept missing eyeball contact. How many planes ? I thought I heard about 4 in close succession at one stage, with another twin engined ? or am I way off ?

they have proper military fighter jets?

or are we talking about the government private jet?

They have PC-9's. Probably use them, i'd doubt they would send the g4 or the lear45.

Nope, turboprop trainers. They have seven PC-9s. That should be the only aircraft they're using for the flypast, they have used government jets to lead them in the past though.

I saw a what looked like a PC9 flying over town earlier. Seemed to be flying northbound up O'Connell St.

It made a good few passes. Looked low enough. The spike must be a concern.

Mildly exciting. My inner child was amused anyway.

The PC-9 flew from O'Connell bridge direction right down the middle of O'Connell Street and made a sharp bank west just past the GPO, it was an impressive sight during lunch hour but had plenty of clearance over the Spire that's for sure!

    At 16:38 over Stillorgan/Belfield.
They actually run a couple of loops along the N11 towards Stillorgan and turned left and came back northwards along the coast and flew again towards the south along the N11 and then disappeared direction City Centre.

I saw these as well in the Kells area on Sunday (I think!), being followed by a helicopter and just flew forward and back a few times, training I presume?

yes saw those 4 small planes, too far away from me to identify, or photgraph.

Did several tight anticlockwise loops over guessing Ballsbridge to OConnell Street sort of area, mostly in tight formation but one of the pilots seemed to be way off formation on a few loops,
Noisy for the size and distance away
