What's the best time to move an established Camellia? It's in flower at the moment.

    Thanks!

I think camellias can be moved at almost any time of the year but normally I would wait until the flowers have dropped. The usual rules apply -- get as much of the root ball as possible, stake it firmly, and most importantly water it for the next 6 months or more - even if we have a wet summer water it regularly and don't feed it.

Thanks Lottpaul! Gonna wait a few weeks til it finishes flowering and then move it! Thanks for the tips!

You could buy some ericaceous compost to help it settle into its new hole. It will thank you for it.
