    What you mean to say is that Good Friday is not a Public Holiday. There are nine of those each year, and Good Friday isn't one of them. Easter Monday is.

    While most of us tend to use the words 'Bank Holiday', there actually isn't (legally speaking) any such thing.

    There are some days on which banks close even though they're not an actual Public Holiday, and some people would use the words Bank Holiday to describe them. Good Friday is one such day.

    It is a Bank Holiday but not a Public Holiday. So they will not be open.
