    Hi All,
we're considering getting a place somewhere in the sun that we can spend the summer and the school holidays in and potentially rent out when we are not there, although that element isn't essential. Just looking for advice on where to start looking on the web... I deally we where thinking Italy as we have traveled there many times, amalfi region.
    Thanks

we purchased in portugal in 2005 for these reasons also. we went on one of those inspection trips with mcanthony and luckily it all worked out fine for us.

you put into google, real estate agent italy and there is soooo much

all i can suggest to you is to plan a few days in the area you are going to buy in and pop into the local real estate agencies, or arrange in advance a couple of properties from their website and get the estate agent to pull a few properties together that may suit you.

remax is reliable agent in portugal, so check out their website in italy
    http://www.remax.it

i have tried every property rental website going, so I can let you know which ones gives results, tripadvisor is excellent! they own holiday lettings and they have just launched a 3% commission fee on any bookings they get you with no annual fee upfront, so that may suit you as rentals isn't a top criteria for you

hope this helps a little, try and find an expat forum in italy aswell
