    I would wear dark blue slim leg jeans and either some "fashion" runners (not actual sports runners) or a leather/suede boot. The jumper under the jacket looks nice.

    Dont get chinos anyway. They are the shittest fashion fad around at the moment. Just get some regular fit dark jeans, you'll be much better off for it!

    jacket is for outdoors, not indoors.

    Well didn't end up getting the coat,(just as well) hes just gonna wear a smart jumper & shirt, jeans & vans! Thanks for all the replies :)
