i am in the process of setting up a ltd company with me and Mrs as directors.
i would like to know the list of my responsibilities with revenue department:
    submit monthly p31
    submit bi-monthly vat returns
    annual corporation tax
    first year cro return
my prsi/paye/usc for the salary i take

is there anything else I am missing here?

also, how do you guys workout your monthly prsi/paye/usc charges on the salary you withdraw?
is there a tool or free software that can help us?
i dont want to take a payroll software just for myself?

you more or less have it below. if you don't want to engage an accountant then you should perhaps look at the Dublin County Enterprise Board or your local enterprise board to see if they offer a day course in any of the requirements below. They usually do for the tax side anyway. in terms of payroll, I don't know of any packages that are free. you could look at the likes of www.collsoft.ie which is €100 per anum net of vat.

You may want to consider engaging an accountant at the same time. you may be surprised at what you be charged as a lot of them are competitive at the moment. if you miss your annual return date with the cro (not the first 6 month one) you will have to have an audit and have late filing fees so they may pay for themselves in the long term. Also the Revenue Commissioners are bringing in a new system from next year where you have to submit accounts in a IXBRL format. ROS will not do this so you will have to get a third party to do it anyway which will more than likely be an accountant

Speak to an accountant or solicitor.

Unless you are turning over 50k or so companies are expensive and hardly worth it.

You will have to submit returns, pay corp tax, do corp tax returns and then pay employers and employees Prsi etc.

    Thread closed.
