Finished up working 5 weeks ago and have been getting unemployment assistance the last 2 weeks, i also sent in my P45 and P50 to claim tax back but there is a chance I might be going back to work for my previous company, my question is if I do go back to work would I still get tax back given I only sent off the details last week, apologies if this is the wrong forum for this is the only one I could see that is slightly related.

Your claim is already in and should be processed by Revenue. If any refund is due, it will issue to you from Revenue. If you subsequently return to work, your new tax credit cert which issues from Revenue will take into account any refunds received. Just make sure to ring revenue to request a new cert as soon as you start work again as you no longer have a p45 to provide your employer.
