A hypothetical question but if I was in a UCD science course (don't require a foreign language) and I want to switch to a course like English for example will I be able to transfer even though I don't have a third language but do have the required leaving cert points?

I entered the University through the leaving cert system.

Nope, you won't be able to transfer. You'll have to have the requirements for the course, which is the points and the language.

I thought as much, paying for my mistakes now

    Thanks.

On the same note, is it possible to transfer if you have the points and the requirements but you've missed a year..? :pac: I do international languages so I would have 4 or 5 modules that international commerce students have to do, and LC business if thats any help.

I probably wouldn't bother transferring (never did love business much haha), but it'd be nice to know.

Stage 1 International Languages to Stage 2 International Commerce? Nah, not unless you've got all of the Commerce content that the Stage 1 Intl. Comm. people covered, in the modules themselves or equivalent modules.

You can, however, carry the fact that you've done those 5/6 modules with you into Stage 1 International Commerce - you'd basically just need to do the core commerce stuff. Or at least I think you can...
