    Hi all,

I needed a nozzle for my 12yr old potterton oil boiler. The local plumbing supplier gave me a 0,60 60S danfoss nozzle.

The techwho serviced the boiler two years ago gave me a part number of 0,60 60 ES.

Is there a notable difference between the S and ES nozzles?

    Thanks,

    Ken

Yes, there is a difference in fuel output as they are rated a different reference pressures, so the .60usgal is different for both,
es types tend to be used for higher pressure applications with finer atomisation in the likes of condensing oil boilers,

But even at that, changing like for like does in no way ensure the same heat output, oil usage, or good clean combustion as there is a manufacturing tolerance of +/-5% on each and every nozzle, so the boiler needs to be combustion analysed to setup the air/oil to suit it.

hmmm...and you just though, a quick clean out and change the nozzle eh! .... read the sticky on oil boiler servicing
