From the same guys that brought us the superb Game Stock Car sim, this looks like a hell of a lot of fun.

Reiza`s last outing with GSC was simply brilliant imho.
In terms of physics id place it at the very top of the pile with the exception of iracing and maybe netkar.
Like GSC it uses the Gmotor engine we have seen so often in rfactor,GTR,Race etc but with GSC Reiza really got the very best out of this engine.
I reckon these 1200 BHP 5 tonne trucks with Reiza at the helm will be excellent, its out very soon.

So i preordered this over the weekend for €20 and got sent links to download the latest build and codes to activate the game.
I played quite a bit and to me this is ready for release and wow what a fun sim to play.
My first few laps i was allover the place in the corners but once i adjusted to the sheer size and weight of these things i started to run clean laps and got faster and faster.
The physics are just incredible,i found i really had to match revs on downshifting or the truck can snap out of shape really fast.
They are a real challenge to race hard but so so rewarding.
I had some races with the AI @ 110% and they are a joy to race with.
I havent gone online yet but i plan to join the recedepartment.com racing club yet again to participate in some clean casual racing.
Who knows i might even sign up for their league.

This was possibly the best €20 ive spent in a long time.
This sim really is top class, its different enough than everything else to feel fresh even to someone like me swamped with racing sims for too many years :p

Reiza studios deserve to be supported imo.
Id like to see more from them in the future, GSC2012 is amazing, this Formula Trucks so far is equally amazing yet different.
    Highly recommended lads.

fyi lots of gameplay videos here

    Game is fully released now!
Also a 60 minute demo available, really is a top class sim and great to drive.
Unlike many other sims this is ready to roll out of the box as many if not all the main wheel/pedal setups have controls already configured and selectable via options and they work brilliantly, also real feel for force feedback is built into the sim.
    Cannot recommend this enough.

Downloaded the demo and was a definite buy for me. Lots of fun in controlling the big rigs, you're very concious of the interia of the truck and have to manage your braking carefully. A couple of observations - I was expecting lots of black smoke belching from the trucks, but no particle effects here at all? Audio is great and really adds to the immersion. Just like the AI opponents in Race 07, I find the AI trucks are faster in qualifying but slower and easier to beat in the actual race (relative to my performance). I would have liked some sort of career mode as I tend not to play online due to time constraints, so not sure about the overall longevity of the game in my case. Overall though, excellent value for money given the hours of entertainment it will provide.

Hey guys my friend upgraded his racing setup and kindly gave me his old steering wheel, its the Logitech driving force pro.
I would be very grateful if somebody could suggest a good racing game for the pc that doesn't require a monthly subscription, played Iracer for a while, its brilliant but its a tad expensive and i'm already subbed to wow
pc specs are haswell i5,GPU 560 ti

As an F1 fan, I'm currently enjoying F1 2013, it's not a true sim but for me the gameplay is fun (isn't that what it's all about?) graphics are great and you don't need a monster rig to run it with all the graphics options turned up high. If you don't fancy that, perhaps you might like rFactor or rFactor2 which have a huge modding community. I'm waiting on Project Cars and Assetto Corsa which both should be something special.

NetKar Pro is down to €3.99 now, it's highly regarded as having some of the best psychics out there, it's been around for a while so it shouldn't be too power hungry, you'll get access to the tech preview of Assetto Corsa as well if you buy it. I love it but there's no game to it as such. It was designed as a multiplayer only game that never really took off but just for putting in laps it's hard to beat.

Richard Burns Rally is excellent, cheap and so old it should run on anything. There's a huge modding scene but it can be difficult to get running, well worth it in the end though. It's still the best really game out there.

Race 07 is another old but great sim that still has a lot of support, it's on steam.
