    Thanks

Haven't played Glasson in a while but when it's wet it's very wet. I played Moate on Saturday and it was in great condition considering the recent weather.
Just to let you know Athlone has escaped the snow, it's fallen a bit here and there over the last week or so but no collecting on the ground.

Glasson has been wet and rumor has it not been kept well of late. Be prepared just in case...

    As an aside,

Athlone opened today at 9:30 despite overnight snow. It thawed away by 9 and was open straight away after

We have an open weekend going on this weekend aswell if you're around :D

Played there on Saturday. In general it was fairly dry. Very exposed though so it was freezing. Also playing in said competition tomorrow!

a contact of mine from the industry played there last weekend.
apparently the course was in bad shape early in the year but has been taking real shape in last few weeks
the crap weather of the last 2 weeks will have set this back somewhat but i believe the course is playing well
exposed though, as per the previous poster
    wrap up well

Sounds like your "contact" just read all the above posts and summarised them into one sentence!!!

BTW the sun is shining here in athlone now. Bit cloudy and slight breeze blowing.

Played Moate last saturday and it was very wet in places. Balls plugging in fairways, temporary tees etc. Greens were in very good shape though.

Played Athlone about 3 weeks ago and it was in fantastic shape. greens looking good and fairways dry. See no reason why it shuold be any different given that there has been little if any snow.

The last time I played Glasson it was during a downpour so I dont have fond memories. However, there seems to be a rumour that it is not as well kept as it once was (mostly heard this rumour through people at Athlone GC though so I would take it with a pinch of salt! ;) )

    Good luck in the comp!

Played Glasson last Sat. when most courses on the East Coast were closed and it was in good nick. Very cold especially when crossing behind the hotel for 13 on . Found almost no standing water on the course.

Glad to hear this. It was in a good bit of bother over the winter but its a lovely course when its dry and well prepared so glad to hear its being sorted out :D

Well the course was in good condition again today and it wasn't even as cold as the weekend. So all things considered it was a good day for golf.

    I had a shocker however... :o
