looking to build my own roadbike for the simple reason that I like building things what the best place to look our for secondhand groupsets trawl the classifieds here or ebay seem to be the only places that I can find other than the main brands shimano, campo, Sram are there any other makes that I should be looking out for

Compile a list of items needed and put a Wanted add in the Adverts section here.
A lot of people have spare parts that they think they might need some day, but would sell if they got an offer.
I think there used to be a car boot sale type meet-up for members here, that might kick off again. Adverts.ie is worth a look too.
