Focus dampness misfire

My sisters 2006 1.6 ford focus has a recurring misfire problem .
Water is getting into the recess where the plugs are between the cam covers .
It happens in very damp weather .
I've cheaked the frost plugs on the head and they are fine and the car isn't using any water .
Coil pack is new also btw .
The only explanation I can come up with is that condensation is building up on the underside of the bonnet and dripping down into the sparkplug housing ?
There's no sound deadner under the bonnet on this model .

    Anyone seen this before ?

I think its a common problem caused by the windscreen washer jets.

Search function should throw up a good few instances.

    Ahh cheers for that
Yes the plastic housing containing the jets and wiper assembly is straight above it too

had the same problem with the wifes focus. took out the jets put a bit of clear silicone sealant round them and reinstalled.
    job done, no more leaks.

Colm is right if its not using water then the washer jets are at fault.

Just take them out give it a quick clean put a bit of sealer around them and stick them back in ten minute job.

Maybe put a new set of plugs in aswell becsuse the old ones can get damaged if its been miss firing for a while.
