Stained tooth

I've got this staned front tooth, just the one, on the upper side right in the middle. It only came up stained a couple of years ago. It is probably to do with drinking too much tea/coffee, also I am guess that the enamel has worn off it which is why it is now staining and the others aren't.

So the last two times I got my teeth cleaned and polished it was perfectly clean afterwards, the dentist did a good job. But then about 6 weeks later the stain begins to resurface again which is very annoying. I'm using teeth whitening toothpaste (just Colgate not the super expensive stuff) but it doesn't seem to keep the stain from re-appearing.

So I am wondering is there any practical solution to this that doesn't involve getting my teeth cleaned every 6-8 weeks ? Is there such thing an enamel replacement to solve the problem altogether ?

A friend suggested what I need to get is the same drill that dentists use to clean teeth and just clean off the stain myself every 6 weeks. Not a bad idea but I don't think that equipment is on sale to the general public ?

Thats a great idea, all you need is a compressor, dental motor unit, drills and consumables. Best 10-15 grand you will spend :D

Look into a veneer or composite veneer if the enamel is damaged.

Wow 10 grand, I never knew, that is some really expensive equipment they use.

Is there any other more permanent option than a veneer because as far as I know these have to be replaces every 4-5 years, yes ? I think I heard before that they are around €600 for one so if I live to be 80 I'd be nearly better off buying the drill !!! There's no such thing as an enamel transplant or anything similar and with a more permanent resolution ?
