dimmer switch

    hi everyone

    anyone every have a dimmer switch that stays on constantly ?

    do i need to replace it or is it a quick fix ?

    Yes they do sometimes fail on, usually are simple to replace....assuming you are competent, turn off the power and just replace with a similar switch. As usual if you aren't sure it's safer to get a professional in. Shouldn't cost much either.

    BUT before you replace the switch, have you changed any lamps to lower wattage ones, some dimmers won't work properly unless adequately loaded.

    A girl in work has the problem so maybe it was underrated lamps . i'll check it out , thanks for advise
