Planning on taking a trip to Cork for about 4 nights in April. It will be 4 adults and two small children. Can anyone recommend a nice family cottage or home in Cork that would be a nice get away for a few days?

Where in Cork? Cory City, East Cork, West Cork? Where are you coming from and how far or long do you want to drive? Have a fantastic holiday home recommendation outside Clonakilty at Galley Head.

Sorry, coming from Dublin. Flexible as to where to visit, totally open to suggestions.

Do you want to be in or close to a town or be in the middle of nowhere? Will you be going out each night or staying in your holiday home?

I would start by looking at Kinsale as you get the best of all options. Loads of holiday homes in or around the town, lots to do and only 3 hours from Dublin.

    Hi Tickers,

Myself and the family and some friends stayed in Clonakilty last year for 4 nights, we stayed with a local company called Clona Holiday Homes, here's their website, has a listing of prices etc on the page.

    http://www.clonamarketing.com/index.php

We stayed in Ashe Street house i think, which sleeps 8 and was unreal, right on the main street in Clonakilty town, short drive out to the West Cork Coast and beaches, beautfiful little town and great access for West Cork. Give them a buzz and they'll probably do you a deal which they did for us.

I have used this company along with my family many times in the past. We used to stay in the Long Quay property. We found it excellent although do tell them that you have kids so you get a lower floor apartment.

The only reason we stopped using them was because a family member bought property in the area and we use that instead otherwise we would still be there.
