Default Settings.

- Last day is Monday 1st April 2013.

General Rules:

- Highest score wins.

- No savestates, savestate practices, etc. during the round.

- MAME INP recordings are encouraged but optional.

- A screenshot is required to enter a score (press F12 to save screenshot showing your final score) or take a photo of the game screen.

- Use of autofire or other non-standard hacks within MAME or your PC's OS are not allowed.

It is the Max a Flex version and its a great version of the game

jaysus , 1 coin gives 30 seconds which kicks in BEFORE the game starts , , the level select , level opening animation takes 5 seconds , which leaves 25 seconds of gameplay time. When thats up you lose control of rockford and teh games (REAL) timer counts down to 0.Nothing can add to that maxflex time , not gameplay , not even pressing start(just to confirm I gave it a shot)..nothing!
I managed 70. (which is a few diamonds into A1)
Best thing is probably to set it to max (480), that way you're getting a few minutes of play and are still dealing with 3 lives etc managed 1432 with that.
Either that or cut out the middle man and play it on an atari 8 bit (which is the exact same rom ..which I actually have on tape )as Maxaflex seems to be the atari 8 bit version of the NES play 10!

supposedly putting more coins in at 0 will let you continue your game , but it didnt seem to work for me

ok if you hammer in credits , you can auto continue on and play a normal game of boulderdash(i.e. 3 lives or so then you're dead, game over , sub score) ..so do you guys want to do it that way? or just 1CC rules (in which case how long a time to set?)

Damn didnt think that would be a problem

Going to see what the max i can get on those settings is.
