    Hi guys,

    Do any one know were I could find valid basic php code for a e commerce site that works.

    There's a whole range of free, open source PHP-based carts - Magento, Zen Cart, OS Commerce, Prestashop to name but a few.

    Usually good books have examples that you can modify. I really like the Apress publishers "Pro" series. I think their ebooks are readily available and the source code is downloadable at the site. I think there are a few Pro PHP books. The Pro Spring MVC book has an entire book dedicated to building a e-commerce store, but we're talking about Java here.
