    Hi

    quick question.

Have just completed my second 10k race, newbie to running. Was considering training for half marathon and Kilarney fits in well timewise. However, work colleague tells me that it is a very "hilly" course and unsuitable for beginners?

Just wanted to enquire from those who may have done this race previously as to your thoughts on it?

    Thanks

    Nonsense.

There is no such thing as an "unsuitable" road race for beginners. And, as has been mentioned, the only real hill on that course is being run downhill. It means your legs will be more sore the next day, but that's it.
