Hi There

have a slight problem i am doing a project in access and i am building a membership database for a club in a form i am trying to build i have a dropdown box for membership type when i select membership type from list i want the form to insert the fee automatically into the field for it, is this possible

It sure is, You need to write a little VB script that updates the membership dues text box, then link that script to the "afterupdate" event of the "membership type" dropdown list. been years since I used access so can't give you percise details.

Just remember to make sure that people cannot enter their own membership dues amount by either disableing that text input field or just using a label instead.
