Is this course recognised in the U.S. and Canada? Any other info on this course would also be appreciated, thanks.

AFAIK it is not recognised in the US. Don't know about Canada. I think they are trying to get the US thing changed as students have done projects over there. Only person I know doing Radiography is on Erasmus right now, which you can do for part of a semester in year 4.

You have to do an exam for the states but our standard of radiographers is miles higher than any radiographer in the us

Do you have any idea on the difficulty of the exam? Also, any info on the radiography course would be appreciated- hours, workload, what you do etc... I don't do physics for LC. Would that be a problem?

Only in first year now so dont know about the us entry exams. Hours are very manageable, workload can be big when exams are near but if you keep on top of it its fine. With regards not having physics dont let it put you off doing radiography. The majority of people havent done physics and end up doing better at it than people who did study it for the lc hahaha

Don't worry about Physics. Never did it in school. Did Ordinary level Maths. Went back as a Mature Student and we only do one Physics module in 1st year. It's not very difficult at all. AFAIR you only have to do one physics 'calculation - (for want of a better term)' question in the summer exam.

I'd try and get some time in a hospital first, though. I find there's not too much job satisfaction in the profession. Common criticisms of the undegrad study is that it's just, well, 'boring'. (I'm thinking of changing professions but that's more coz I wanna get out of working in the hospital tbh).

Again, you can get work abroad in Aus/Nz/UK/ anywhere it seems relatively handy. There is no job shortage.

Out of curiosity, why isn't its recognised in the US? I'm not in the field myself, just seems strange for a medical profession!

How do I get some days experience in radiography, I really want to do this , are hospitals welcoming of giving a days experience??

Most hospitals are, yes. I got replies from all hospitals I asked to visit. It's best to contact the student tutor that works there but sending an email to the hospitals XR department is a good start. They could give you contact details.
