It has been announced that he will visit Ballina with Mary Robinson on 11 May next. He will attend an ecumenical service in the Cathedral which will be chaired by Olivia O'Leary. I would love to attend this - I wonder how you get to be invited.…

You have to love local politics and the stuff that councillors come out with. See example of Gerry Ginty's assinine comments here. He forgot to focus on his significant role in social rights and stood up to apartheid in the 80s at a time when this could either get you killed or put in jail. The fact that he helped change the system in the first instance shouldn't be slighted on.
