HRV-Filters & system performance plus the price of filters

    Thought I would share this - I had noticed that the efficiency of one of my units had dropped dramatically - 21 extract but only 14 on the inlet :eek:

    Did some investigating and removed the extract filter from the unit and let unit run without it for a while - I then got 21 / 18.5 (its 1.5 outside today)

    The filters had been in 4 months since we moved in (and every one says the first set do not last as long as the rest due to bulders dust/moving furniture etc etc)

    So the moral of the storey its well worth checking you filters and you supply / extract temps to make sure unit is performing.

    On a separate issue I then priced filters - I can get them from Europe at more than 50% cheaper than I can get them here in Irealand :confused:.

    My advice - change filters often - but chase around for a good price

    hey guys just out of interest what hrv unit do ye have installed that gives inlet and outlet temps?

    Mine only gives temp extract air before the exchanger

    Mine is a proair 600. I have a couple of heat exchangers in the inlet after the HRV unit and a temperature probe after that. I've no probe on the outlet so just going by room temp.

    Any advice on where you bought them. I have looked, but I am not sure what I should look for? Search by size, Euro 5 something or another? Quality stamp? I can see no brand on the ones I got from the supplier

    Would love to know this too !
    Am going to decide on the HRV model to run with tomorrow (any suggestions on the model as have a few quotes?!) but am told there is no point in going with the F7 pollen filters for first year.

    Mine is a Zehender CA350 - also known as a Stork Wh950 unit - manufactured in the Netherlands - Passive Certified
