    Hi
Just a query. I need my p45 from a xmas job. I never remember getting a p45 from them and when I rang head office, they told me they had sent it. Now, I never remember receiving a p45 but I did receive a P60.
They are a UK company. Is it the same thing? My employer is looking for a p45? Is a p60 acceptable? Considering the previous UK company in question is refusing to send a copy of a p45

    Help?

    Thanks in advance!!

A P45 is only valid in the tax year it is issued, so a P45 from 2012 is of no use in 2013. Ask your new employer for their tax registration number. Phone revenue and give them this number, your PPS number and tell them what day you started in the new job. Revenue will then send your new employer a tax cert for you and you can be taken off emergency tax.

Thanks very much, I'll do that first thing! Much appreciated!
