Am i able to defer the second semester of my final year?

    I am studying social studies and i am in my final year. Due to certain circumstances i am unable to continue on in college this year. I am wondering could anyone tell me if i am able to defer the 2nd semester of my 4th and final year? Bearing in mind it is my awarding year so i am unsure if you are able to defer a semester in your final year?

    Any information would be much appreciated

    I don't think it is possible to defer a semester to be honest, usually it would be a year of the course. Even if it is/were possible, it is halfway through at the moment, and I believe you need to apply for a deferral in advance.

    I would recommend calling the college reception on 059-9175000 and see if they can shed some light on it, or transfer you to someone who can. Also, contacting your school (which is most likely Humanities) on one of the numbers on the page below could be helpful to you.

    I would advise you to do this as soon as possible too.
