Advice please!

Hi, another newbie here.

Have decided to give up the smokes. Was getting chest pains and I reckon its time to bite the bullet. So this afternoon in my centra I bought the smokegreen intro kit and have been using this ever since. Find the tobacco flavour good and the hit is surprisingly stronger than I thought it would be. I usually smoke about 15 amber leaf rollies. I reckon I will order another kit online for vaping, I see the kanga twist comes highly recommended here. Just wondering what strength I should order given how much I normally smoked. And when would be the best time to lower the nicotine dose?

If you smoked 15 rollies a day,18mg should see you right,although if you're looking
for a decent throat hit 24mg may do it depending on the juice.
As regards the best time to lower your nicotine intake,that would
be entirely up to you my friend.See how you get on with the kit first and then
start thinking about reduction.

I started off with the SmokeGreen myself.
It'll be useful to you when you move on to the Kanger Twist kit, as a discreet cig-a-like device for when you're out and about.

You can refill the cartomizers in the SmokeGreen (to save you having to keep repurchasing) - pop off the white tip and inside you'll see there's a little plastic/silicone 'washer', take that out and refill (with liquid once you buy it) by using a needle-cap bottle.

Best way to judge how much liquid to fill is take one of the silicone 'caps' (the silicone things that cover the top and bottom of the cartomizer - more commonly called a 'condom') and fill that with liquid, then throw that in to a needle-cap bottle, tip down and insert needle at North, South, East & West points.
Pop the 'washer' back down, put the white tip on and leave to stand (screw/thread side down) for a few mins to allow the liquid to work its way through.
Check for any leaks coming through the screw/thread part, if there are any blow through (from the white tip) and wipe off with a tissue.

You could also refill by the 'condom' method.
This is where you fill the cap/condom with liquid and press your cartomizer down into the liquid.
You can do this by removing the white tip and the 'washer' inside (as above) or you can just do this by pushing the screw/threaded end of the cartomizer down into the 'condom'. This last method I've tried too but there's a fair bit more leaking this way than with the needle-tip method.

So, now - to answer your actual question:
As you were smoking strong rollies you should go with either an 18 or a 20mg nicotine strength. There are liquids out there which mimic Amber Leaf B&H etc (Google pages from Ireland - you're best off buying local to begin with). There are loads of tobacco-flavoured liquids out there though - RY4 is a popular one (the 4 standing for 4 flavours in one: tobacco, vanilla, caramel and...toffee?).

After a while you can go down from 20/18mg to 12mg. I wouldn't start off any lower than 18 though - you wouldn't be getting the nic hit that you're used to atm with the rollies.

Also, go for the T3's with the Kanger Twist kit, they're simple to refill and soon after you can learn how to rebuild them to save even more $$$

When you order you should also try a pack of Boge Cartomizers (the same as the SmokeGreens BUT the SmokeGreens are NOT a 510-connection)
(510 is universal: most batteries on e-cig kits are 510 as are almost all cartomizers,clearomizers and atomizers).
Your SmokeGreens will not fit onto your Twist battery.
You fill the Boge's by the methods described earlier.
