Some quality racing abroad next Saturday. Anyone got any antepost views?

I'm looking at St Nicholas Abbey to go on better than last years 2nd in the Sheema Classic, Sole Power in the Al Quoz Sprint and Animal Kingdom in the Dubai World Cup.

Read in today's Star that TG4 are showing all races from Dubai next Saturday too.

I hope Elleval runs well in the world cup may be asking too much but why not.

Saddlers Rock in the Gold Cup for me. Seems a pretty open race with Imperial Monarch at the top of the betting who is unproven at this distance. Hoping that SR will be back to his best on good ground....

Couldn't have Saddlers Rock, what a disappointment he has turned out to be.

Yeah, can see where you are coming from. Maybe I'm being too loyal. Though he ran a decent prep race out there only for the jockey had him a mile off the pace. Can see him being there or thereabouts on Sat night with Tenenbaum being the main danger....

Hard to oppose Soft Falling Rain in the Godolphin Mile. Has done nothing wrong so far and at 4/1 looks a decent bet to me.

    Really looking forward to this.
It's a race night that has really grown on me in recent years.

    MY FANCIES:
    Sole Power - Sprint
    Kavanagh - Golden Shaheen
    St Nicholas Abbey - Classic
    Animal Kingdom - World Cup

Will also be backing any "second string" Godolphin that Fallon is riding. Fallon has had a super Carnival and is back to his best, a real master jockey on the artificial surface.

    Not one to "Jockey Bash" so I'm going to put this nicely;
"The Carnival has shown that Barzalona is no Detorri"

Fair play to TG4 for continuing to support this great race night.

Ive been on the Hunters Light bandwagon for a while now. Gotta stick with him for the World Cup.

I agree. One of the bets of that meeting for the home team.

Law Enforcement is tempting in the Derby, but whilst I'd love to see Hughsie with a winner there, I am undecided about backing him. Certainly Hannon Jnr is sweet on him in an interview I saw with the owner and him on Dubai racing. More straightforward is Little Mike an all the way winner for me in the Dubai Duty Free.

So will O Brien will have a winner. His horses were the last to arrive (but that is is his preferred strategy). St Nicholas Abbey meh, maybe. Is he a strong betting proposition though?

Imperial Monarch have to say he was impressive in Longchamp, led, passed before line, fought back. I also remember JOB putting the heart crossways in me and many others I am sure at Sandown last year on his last to first wide apart from the other runners on him.

Of the other Irish runners, I'd love to see Sole Power turn the tables on Shea Shea in the sprint. Certainly is value at 6s. I note that Starspangledbanner is 25/1 in the same race, which may tempt some e/w backers.

And finally hopefully Gordon Lord Byron will do the magic at 5/1 for Tom Hogan in the Golden Shaheen.

Free also on 26E on Dubai Racing.

Fancy sole power ew in the sprint,Fallon said that Krypton factor hasnt been fit so far in meydan so might be worth a bet think he's 12/1.

They still find it difficult to attract the really best horses given it's timing. When Hunter'S Light is favourite for the world's richest race it says something, the horse is nowhere near group 1 level in England. Animal Kingdom has the best form and I'd be disappointed to see him out of the first three at 11/2.

The sprint is a weak one when Gordon Lord Byron is second favourite

luckily for hunters light this is not a group 1 in england . its on tapeta . A surface which he excels on. got a sweet draw and is progressive. im a big fan of animal kingdom but the draw is a real problem

Delighted to see Balmont Mast run so well. I know it's hind sight but how on earth could anyone have backed Gordon Lord Byron as second favourite

Great ride by O'Brien alright. The jockey on Gentildonna was closer to falling off her than getting her infront!

    MY FANCIES
    - 4th

    - 1st
    - 1st

    e/w Fallon on Godolphin
    - Ahzeemah 2nd
    - Aesop's Fables 14th (Occasion seemed to get to him/Pacemaker)
    - African Story 5th (Originally Fallons ride - had my money down)

Animal Kingdom is a really good horse. Hunter's Light was always going to go off shorter than him after winning a few at Meydan but is well below his class I think
