    What does this actually mean?

Saw this written on an add for a car advertised for €7k during the week.

Does the seller actually expect me to be carrying €7k cash with me before I can test drive it???????

New to this and don't have a clue......

It means the seller is a muppet if they think a potential buyer will give any money before they know what the car is like to drive.

They might want to see that you actually have cash to buy it and isn't just there to kick tyres.
For sums like that use a bank draft instead of cash, 7k is a lot of money to carry in cash.

all well and good maybe wanting to see some cash before test driving a new ferrari or the likes may help avoid time wasters, its hilarious when you see it in an add for a 15 year old corolla, you'd hardly go out and test drive that sort of yoke to get your kicks!

I thought myself the seller was being stupid, but then found so many adds with this written.

By the way the car was a 1.4 Golf, (add was since removed?????), its not like it was a Supra lol

It means don't come looking for a test drive if you can't afford the car. You don't have to show the money, you just have to have it.

Pretty much this, and it is something that puts me off looking at the car.

Why? Its an unfriendly way to start a deal, true you are not there to make friends but it doesn't have to be a blood bath either!

Just a bad attitude from the seller imo
