Hi, I need to disable SMART hard drive monitoring on my lenovo t410 as windows 7 reports that its about to fail. I can't find anyway of doing this in the bios Any ideas?

Maybe you should backup your data and replace the HDD?

I've cloned the disk. No other utility is reporting errors on the drive. I'm not too sure that smart can be disabled on this system.

Well, if the BIOS has no option then it cannot be disabled. In Windows, if you select Tell me later a few times, you will eventually be presented with a third option to Ignore the problem.
