This has to be the hardest working ambulance in Dublin, well the northside anyway 7 times out of 10 when I see an ambulance on the northside it is D44.
I would say there is savage milage on it !

I'm not sure if its gospel but I read in a local paper before that 74 is the busiest in the city, although I would also doubt that any of the ambulances are far off each other in terms of calls given that they are not restricted to a certain district

In terms of call volumes it's a toss up between 24, 34 and 74 who each do approx 9,000 calls each per annum. 104 would be next.

But the other ambos would spend more time on the road, especially 54 and 134.

There are essentially 2 sides to the ambo in Dublin. The stations closest to the busiest hospitals (James and Mater) do the most calls. The stations furthest away spend more time on the road.

Of all the ambos, 44 would be middle of the road. Not the busiest but not the quietest.

If I had a choice for a nights OT it would be 124 ;)

124? As in station 12 who has no ambo.

Whats the average amount of cases per shift you generally would take? Assuming a busy V quiet night?
