    Just saw this http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01rfs8q

Ethan O Leary from Cork is to fill in for Dev on Radio 1.

    Good going and fair play,
Epic stuff, never heard of the Guy, what's his story?

Pity its a 4am slot, but good to see the Irish doing well.

You can listen back on iPlayer.

He won the Gold award for "Best Male" at last year's Student Radio Awards in the UK. Radio 1 do this every year whereby they let the winner of the Best Male and Best Female categories do that show for one day which is an amazing reward. They're hardly going to let him cover a main daytime slot!

Hopefully he can capitalise on the opportunity and do a great show so he might be considered for future cover work. He'll be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Greg James who got a cover slot the day after he graduated from uni and after subsequent cover work, he landed the Early Breakfast slot permanently before moving onto afternoons and now Drivetime at 4-7.
