Yeah it makes a nice difference. The non Pro system is just so boring.

I charge 799 all inclusive with 6 months warranty.

Too bad it didn't have dual zone climate. Looks much better with one.

CIC would be even better, but the price tag is a different story.

If the module is dead, you better off getting a Dension 500S instead of replacing it with another OEM module, as not only it will give you the same BT features as yours, it does fully integrate into your iDrive using the same interfaces/features, it will also give you proper music management, where you can browse by album, artist etc from the iDrive.

The CIC basically has a 80GB hard drive, you can store music, it plays movies too, has a HD screen and a new operating system that is much nicer.
You also have BMW apps, internet browsing (available on the CCC too) etc.
It also shows art from iPod/iPhone music libraries and so on.

gosh, thanks for taking the time to explain this in detail. its very interesting. and i do believe the CIC would cost a kidney or two.

at that price the ccc upgrade isnt too bad. what else can you code into the car at the same time?

Hi, you need a new head unit too yes
If you want a much better system this is what you need, straight from 2014 3 series retrofitted in a e60.

    Hi BMStuff,

    Love your work.

On my 2005 BMW E60 530i, I took a chance about 7.5 years ago and replaced my boring Bus Nav with Professional Navigation from Poland with all upgraded parts and have never looked back. If I kept Bus Nav, I'm sure I would've sold my 2005 E60 by now.

As my parts were taken from a E60 530i of same vintage, because it had an encoded VIN # in CCC, my BMW service centres in Adelaide, Australia were unable to perform the Professional Navigation RETROFIT software/coding upgrade so in a sense, the CCC thinks it's still in the original E60.

It works about 90%, I get spoken navigation voice in English but have a couple issues I need help to fix:

    1. E60 thinks heated seats are installed, I don't
    2. E60 thinks I have Aux. Input, I don't
    3. Pressing VOICE button on steering wheel, I get GERMAN spoken language
    4. Pressing VOICE next to MENU button on centre console, nothing happens

Anyway, I'm trying to setup a spare Sony VAIO 17.3" HD 2.6Ghz Core2Duo laptop with:

    1. INPA
    2. WinKFP
    3. NCS Expert
    4. NCS Dummy
    5. Tool32
    6. etc.

I still need to purchase a USB cable for my laptop, any suggestions?

Anyway, I think I'll need your help with:
    1. Changing encoded VIN # in CCC
    2. Perform appropriate coding so CCC and added parts are more in sync with my E60 and work as expected

    Can you assist please?

    Kind regards, Ken

    Hi,

Im going to buy a 2011/12 5 series in the next month or so. But cant find a decent one with the professional system for a good price.
If i buy the business package one that seems to be everywhere can it be upgraded?

    If so,

    What is the cost
What is included in the package
    What Guarantee is with it
    are you a registered business
    where are you based

Reason I ask all the questions is Im treating myself to my dream car and im not about to let just anyone rip the dash apart :)

Seen your examples and its exactly what im looking for.

    Thanks in advance
    Seblex
