upgrade kit for planetside 2

€400 and €370 for either kit is fairly steep, besides playing planetside 2 what else is your rig used for?
if it's purely for gaming, browsing media etc the i5 is a better choice, if you use multi threaded apps like video & photo editing etc then the FX-8350 would be a better option since it caters to both. (altho it is a tad bit slower than the i5 in most games)
I'll have a look for you else where for kits with the same cpu's but cheaper.

Edit: also noticed you said you weren't overclocking, if your not planning on over clocking don't get the 3750k and get a normal 3570, the k only means it's unlocked for overclocking.
also if your disc drive and/or hdd are ide instead of sata they'll need to be replaced too since newer boards don't have any ide slots

If you aren't overclocking then this would do fine.

    Item|Price
    Intel Core i5-3570 Box, LGA1155|€184.70
    ASRock B75 Pro3, Sockel 1155, ATX|€67.19
    8GB-Kit Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1333 CL9|€50.19
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€321.07

Just for planetside at the moment.
Drives are ok and the power supply is a corsair tx 750.
    I have a tower case,gigabyte eg31m-s2 motherboard,4gb ram and 4830 graphics card.
I will need a new graphics card too, sorry forgot about that.

    Thanks again,

    Hi,

So the i5 3570 is the cpu to get.
The club 3d card would run games at 1080p as I would not go above 1080p.

    Thanks,
    mconnn

If you aren't overclocking then yes. That 7870xt will run all games at 1080p at high to max settings.

It's not hard to overclock. If you can afford it, go for the overclockable CPU and MB.

    Hi,

I found this 3470k bundle for the same price as the 3470 bundle.
Is the bundle as good as the non k version motherboard ect..

Thats a quite good price actually, whats the shipping on top?

It would really only 'better' if you overclock it at some point, but at least you would have that option in the future.

    Hi,

    Shipping is €14.60
Thought it was a good price .
I tried overclocking my 4830 last night with amd overdrive.
It seems easy so might overclock down the line now.
Do you think the motherboard and memory in the dabs bundle is ok.

    Thanks,
    mconnn

Ram is good, motherboard is nothing amazing but looks a solid enough budget z77 model and you will be able to overclock with it.
