It's a soldering job. If repair is too expensive, maybe some Mini USB audio adapter will do? Something like this, $15 on ebay.

one question, if I get one of those when I plug in my headphones will it cut off the laptop speakers same as plugging into the regular headphone socket?

or go to control panel, audio, set audio out from headphones, to zero volume.

Have you tried rolling back the Audio drivers?? I had a laptop in with same problem during week and it was only a driver issue, probably worth checking it out
