Volvo XC90 Integrated Telephone Battery

My Volvo XC90 has an integrated telephone which stopped working several months ago because the backup battery in the telephone was faulty. I get "Volvo Oncall Service Required".
To fix could be very expensive as the part is very expensive.
But now the main battery is dying on a regular basis. I replaced the battery but the problem remained and I have discovered it is due to a constant drain of 0.5 Amps when the car is off.
Seems the drain was from the phone so I removed the fuse for the phone. But now the Radio and Sat Nav won't work. I thought they had a separate fuse?

I'm thinking of disconnecting the entire phone unit but have no idea how to do this or if it would work.

    Any suggestions?
