    That's fantastic.

    Reading the article though, the truly logical thing to do would be to make the helmets from woodpecker heads.

    The fact that cardboard isn't very water resistant seems like a significant drawback.

    He seems to have addressed this is issue but only everyday use by cyclists will answer any questions.

    I can see that the lining is waterproof but vents would require the lining to continue through the cardboard or leave it exposed. Overall they look considerably more difficult to manufacture than the current polystyrene ones.
